These also come in a wide range of sizes and styles but they should be of at least 2.7mm. thick steel and have bolt-on metal cradles (not stick on plastic). Remember that, because of the slippery nature of a glazed surface, an anti-slip pattern will be required if the bath is to be used for showering in, or by the elderly, infirm or children. This should be a factory applied pumice fused into the enamel, not just the top glaze etched away by a stockist, which will not be as effective an anti-slip finish. All anti-slip patterns are difficult to clean. Tap and hand grip holes should also be drilled at the factory before the bath is enamelled not cut out and painted with a sealer, which often invalidates the guarantee on the bath.
